- It's a semi-strategy system, you and your enemies have 3 types of attacks:
- attack, corrupt and mind blast
- Your attack power for each attack is in brackets next to the attack
- Your damage to the enemy as well as your defense against corresponding enemy attacks is based on your attack power. So if you're both strong at "attack", it'll be a stalemate. Therefore you need to exploit your enemy's weaker areas
- The more you use an attack type, the more powerful you are in that area - which will also influence your behaviour in the future of the game. Therefore you need to either choose your attacks, or choose your battles to cultivate specific areas.
- This is by no means the finished concept and it could get redone depending on how I feel about it, and player feedbacks
- Introduced Relationship mechanics
- Each NPC has a relationship meter from -100 to 100, starting at 0 usually
- Improved relationships will unlock certain actions and dialogues (in the future!)
- Conversely some actions will inevitably require you to be in negative relationships with NPCs
- Relationship status change can be seen by floating numbers (this may be changed into abstract terms in future)
- Introduced Interest mechanics (0 to 100)
- Player also has an interest meter for each NPC, from 0 to 100, starting at 0 usually
- Player's interest towards NPC will influence what type of actions you can do. For example if you have no interest in someone, you can't just decide to want to have sexy time with them!
